ACTIVATING THE FORCE OF DOMINION (1)

Genesis 13:14–18 (KJV)

*«And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever... Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.»*

✍️ The promise of God to Abraham covered four major dimensions:

1. Property — the land of Canaan.

2. Posterity — descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven.

3. Prosperity — through his Seed, all the families of the earth would be blessed.

4. Power and Prominence — in one word, DOMINION.

Putting these promises into perspective, the land God promised Abraham was not vacant—it already had occupants. Furthermore, the blessings of God upon Abraham's descendants would inevitably attract opposition from the enemy. Therefore, they would need dominion to possess the land, preserve the land, and prosper in the land.

Everything begins with possessing the territory.

Earlier, Abraham had asked God for assurance that he would inherit the land. In Genesis 15, God established His covenant with him and confirmed the promise.

In our anchor text, God revealed how the dominion mandate is activated. It begins with possessing what God has promised.

God gave Abraham two instructions that activate dominion.

HOW TO ESTABLISH DOMINION

✅ 1. VISION

God told Abraham:

«"For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it."»

From God's perspective, the conquest of Canaan was already a settled reality.

Notice His words:

«"...I have given it to you."»

The greatest limitation was not the giants in the land but the absence of vision.

If you can see it, you can possess it.

What can you see?

You must engage both the eyes of the Spirit and the imagination of faith, regardless of your present physical circumstances.

Carry a clear mental picture of the future God has prepared for you.

Visualize the completed project.

See the blueprint.

Study the map of your territory.

Place the picture before you and begin to declare God's promises over it.

See the business flourishing.

See the ministry expanding.

See the church growing.

See your city won for Christ.

✅ 2. ACTION

God also instructed Abraham:

«"Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it."»

Walk it with your feet.

Work it with your hands.

Faith always expresses itself through action.

Has God promised you a territory—whether physical or virtual?

Establish your presence there.

Take practical steps.

Occupy your assignment.

God gave us a ministry property in Ibadan after six months of consistent prayer walking.

At times, prophetic actions become powerful expressions of faith. There are moments when, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, you may even remove your shoes and plant your footprints on the land God has promised you.

When General Allenby entered Jerusalem, he dismounted from his horse and walked through the city gate on foot as a mark of reverence. He received the keys to the city without firing a single shot.

This month is your month of Dominion.

Can you see it?

Can you walk it?

Can you work it?

🙏 DECLARATION

Father, I thank You for the mandate of dominion You have given me.

By the Holy Spirit, I receive the grace to see with the eyes of faith both Your promises and their fulfillment.

As I walk through my God-given territory and take steps of faith, every promise becomes my present reality.

I possess my possessions.

This month, I walk in dominion over every opposition.

In Jesus' mighty Name, Amen.
