✍️ Life becomes fulfilling and exciting when we have the assurance of provision and protection. In the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, there is a stage where, regardless of the outcome, a contestant is guaranteed to go home with a certain amount of money. That guarantee brings confidence and removes fear.

What more could the human heart desire than these two priceless assurances—provision and protection?

In our anchor text, Jesus sent out His disciples on a divine assignment. As He commissioned them, He gave two unusual instructions. First, He told them they were going out "as lambs among wolves." Second, He instructed them to carry no purse, no bag, and no extra shoes.

Naturally, one would ask, "Lambs among wolves? Are You serious? No money? No extra provisions? How am I expected to survive?"

But the One who sends always has the answers.

1. "Lambs among wolves?"
Yes, because the Lion of the tribe of Judah was going with them. The presence of the Lion guarantees the safety of the lamb.

2. "Take no money or extra supplies?"
Yes, because God had already arranged provision ahead of them. Their needs would be supplied before they arrived.

Whenever God sends a man on an assignment, He assumes full responsibility for that assignment. His protection accompanies the messenger, and His provision follows the mission.

As you step out today, your protection and provision are guaranteed. Every resource you need has already been prepared. Every door that must open will open.

No matter how many wolves surround you, the Lion of Judah has your back. You will not lack what is required for today's assignment.

When the disciples returned, Jesus asked them:

"When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything?"
They answered, "Nothing." (Luke 22:35)

That will be your testimony today.

Do not be afraid to go where God leads you. You have His guarantee.

DECLARATION

Father, I thank You for Your rod and Your staff—the symbols of Your protection and provision—which comfort me. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. I receive divine protection. I enjoy divine provision. I shall lack nothing, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Good morning! Are we good to go?
