GOOD TO GO™ DAILY DRILL BY FUNSHO BABS
DON'T REST YET
ANCHOR TEXTS:
Psalm 126:4 (KJV)
“Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.”
INTRODUCTION
✍️You will never fully appreciate how far a person has come until you understand where they started.
Likewise, you cannot fully understand a text without its context. Every passage has both a pretext and a post-text that illuminates its true meaning.
In our anchor text, Psalm 126:4, the psalmist prays for God to restore the captives. At first glance, this appears to be a simple prayer for deliverance. However, when we look back at verse 1, we discover that God had already restored the captivity of His people.
This teaches us a profound truth: God's work of restoration often comes in stages.
The first group of Jewish exiles returned from Babylon before the captivity officially ended. While they rejoiced in their own freedom, they realized that many of their brethren were still in exile. Their celebration immediately became intercession:
"Turn again our captivity..."
Mark the word again, they have seen the first batch, yet there were many more in captivity in Babylon.
They understood that their joy was incomplete while others remained bound.
This is the heart of the Kingdom.
It should never be about "me alone" or "you alone."
You are saved—but who is still waiting to hear the Gospel?
You are restored—but who is still praying for restoration?
You are blessed—but who is still carrying heavy burdens?
Our assignment does not end with our own breakthrough.
Today, we celebrate the release of the 38 captives from the CAC Church at Eruku. We give God all the glory. Yet, our hearts must also remember those still in captivity, including the girls abducted in Kebbi and Niger States. Until every captive experiences God's intervention, our prayers must continue.
Let's remember the children and teachers in captivity in Oriire ,Oyo State.
The two-and-a-half tribes of Israel received their inheritance east of the Jordan before the remaining nine-and-a-half tribes. Yet they could not settle into comfort until their brethren also possessed their inheritance.
In the same way, thank God for your growth, maturity, revelation, and spiritual depth—but don't stop there. Pray others into those same realms.
As the Scripture declares, "Till we all come unto the unity of the faith... unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." (, Ephesians 4:13)
Until we all arrive, no one should rest.
DECLARATION
Father, thank You for every victory, breakthrough, and restoration You have given me. Give me a heart that rejoices not only in my testimony but also labours in prayer for the freedom, salvation, and restoration of others. Make me a vessel that helps others enter into their inheritance until we all come into the fullness of Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Good morning! Are we good to go?
