//The Creation and Sustenance of the Universe//

✍️An invention without maintenance is a waste of time, energy, and ingenuity.

God created the heavens and the earth by His Word. Yet, His work did not end with creation. Every day, He continues to sustain the universe. The sun rises at its appointed time, the seasons follow their order, rivers continue to flow, rain falls, seeds grow into harvests, and countless stars remain in their courses. Life continues because God's power upholds all things.

Just as a builder must maintain a house after constructing it, the Creator continually preserves His creation. Without His sustaining hand, the universe would fall into disorder. The harmony and order we see in nature testify not only to God's creative power but also to His faithful care.

Our anchor text shows us the means by which  God sustains the universe,  "upholding all things by the word of His power" (Hebrews 1:3). Likewise, Col 1:17 says, "In Him all things hold together." Creation reveals God's greatness, while its continual preservation demonstrates His unfailing faithfulness.

The Greek word translated "uphold" is phero, which means to bear, carry, or sustain—just as a ship carries its passengers and cargo safely to their destination.

This means that God carries the entire universe by His powerful Word. Everything exists, functions, and continues because of His Word.

WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS FOR YOU?

The same Word that created you is able to sustain you.

- Believe the Word.

- Behave the Word.

- Confess the Word.

- Trust the Word continually.

He carries you and everything that concerns you.

He sustains:

- Your health.

- Your marriage.

- Your ministry.

- Your family.

- Your destiny.

He phero—He bears, upholds, and sustains all things by the Word of His power.

Whatever God creates, He is able to preserve. If He can sustain the universe, He can certainly sustain your life.

The greatest lesson from the universe is this: true greatness is not only in creating something wonderful but also in faithfully sustaining it.

God is not only the Creator; He is also the Sustainer of all things.

 *DECLARATION* 

Father, I trust Your Word that created me to sustain me.

I submit to the Lordship of Your Word over my life.

I declare that I am being carried, upheld, and sustained by the Word of Your power. Everything that concerns me is preserved by Your mighty hand.
